Do you think she was wrong!!! I think my friend is about to get killed?

Okay she is 24 years old and met this guy who was 37 almost 38. I knew...He's supre old, but anyways she dated him for about six months before they moved in together. She had a job, he got laid off but was accepting unemployment. She pays majority of rent on the house but he does give her some money tol help with the rent, and electric, etc. So not to long ago he decided he wanted to show his true colors and he decided to hit her, choke her, and push her infron of her daughter. My friend said ever since he did that she hasn't felt the same. He is controlling and a manipulative and she told me yesterday that she told him he had to be out her house in thirty days. He then told her he hated her and how could she do this to him and his son. I guess he tried to hit her again infront of her friend but he didn't. And now she is fearing for her life, and is trying to reconsider putting him out. He's trying to use his son and him being homeless as a means to manipulate her into letting him stay. Do you think she is wrong? I know she rushed things with him but I feel like she isn;t wrong. He hit her and he needs to move out, regardless if he has his son there or not. What do you all think?? I fear for her life seriously
