Can I plug a Mesa Dual Rectifier Head into old amp as cab?

I have a mesa boogie dual rectifier head and cab, and the head works fine in the cab, but I don't have room for the cab in my apartment, so I was wondering if I could plug it into something smaller, for the time being. I have a Marshall DFX250 and a small crate, anyway I could use either of those as speakers for my head?
