Should my 2 year old get the flu shot?

So my daughter when she was 21 months old had a febrile seizure, but what made the situation so scary was that the doctors didn't think she was stopping even with the medication. So she got life flighted up to primary children's hospital and was placed in a medical induced coma. They did all this to make sure that she was going to stop seizing. Anyways when every test came back normal they concluded that is was a seizure from a fever, which is very common and does no damage. So now the flu season is coming and I am trying to decide if I want my daughter to get the flu shot. I would just have her get it but my husband and both his parents in the medical field say she should not get it because they don't think its that safe. So I don't want her to get sick this season, but I know that even if she gets the flu shot she can still get the flu. So I don't know if I should just go take her to get it or listen to my in-laws, since they are in the medical field?
