Why is 97.9 The Box in Houston Texas such a bad radio station now?

You probably already know that music station 97.9 the Box in Houston Texas plays extremely repetitive music, but why has it gotten so bad? there used to actually be variety and balance, and now it's the exact rotation almost every single day. There tagline is also "FOR HIP-HOP & RnB", but it may as well just be exclusively a sappy RnB station in the first place. Why is that???
