Giving a dog a beef 'hock'?

I have an Alaskan Malamute and he loves those! They are great for cleaning his teeth! But MAKE SURE you watch every moment the dog is chewing that thing. If you have a dog like mine, she will try and eat it whole lol. I have to watch mine and take it away when pieces fall off. Just stay away from rawhide PLEASE. Large breed dogs choke all the time on those silmey nastu things. Oh, go to your local butcher shop and buy bones. They are cheap and better then the ones in pet stores. My Mal goes bananas over them :)
