HOW CAN I HELP MY BFF WITH HER PERIOD???

Okay so I have no experience with helping women through horrible periods since I don't have a wife and none of my boyfriends ever got a period lol:) So anyway my friend Stacy came over for a sleep over and she was okay at first but now she can't even move off my couch, she says she has horrible cramps and her back really hurts. she also said she was bleeding so much she soaked a tampon in like 1 hr so now shes using over night maxis, is it normal to bleed that much? I asked her If there was anything I could do and she said no I'm good. she is having a really horrible period. she is my best friend in the whole world and I want to help her and make her fell better.
